Abstract: Threat to Network Availability during the Covid-19 Pandemic

The Internet has been central to many aspects of life during the pandemic. Work, education, shopping, healthcare, entertainment – all of these quickly moved online, allowing us some ability to continue with these activities, but also dramatically changing how they were undertaken. Among the changes are a whole new range of threats to be considered, especially those that’ll deny or degrade the services we’re expecting to use over our networks. This talk will highlight how threat activity changed over the pandemic, drawing upon the recently published NETSCOUT Threat Intelligence Report for H1’2020.
