Abby Mitchell

Abby Mitchell is a versatile and seasoned compliance and cybersecurity
professional with over 20 years of experience in startups, healthcare, technology,
and legal organizations. She is the Vice President of the Charlotte North Carolina
chapter of The Information Systems Security Association. She and her chapter
board members collaborate with The University of North Carolina at Charlotte to
help present the annual UNC Charlotte Cybersecurity Symposium. She is currently
the information security compliance manager at Burke, Inc., marketing research
and innovation firm.
She holds the following professional certifications: Certified in Risk and Information
Systems Control from ISACA and HealthCare Information Security and Privacy
Practitioner, from ISC 2 .
In her spare time, she enjoys creating stained glass art and spending time with her
husband Spencer, her golden retriever, Leonard, and new puppy, Jackson.
