Anthony Braddy
Biography
Anthony Braddy is a highly competent and effective business/management professional and advocate for diversity in technology with close to 20 years experience in the Information Technology (IT) industry. He received his Bachelors degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-Chapel Hill) before entering the IT workforce prior to the start of the Web 2.0 era. In the subsequent years, Anthony has obtained extensive experience leading large cross-functional teams who both develop and validate the security of high profile systems or products by leveraging the planning, profit-growth, cost-control, HR, budgeting, cyber security, software development life cycle, and client-relations elements of project management as the foundation for successful, broad-based leadership. As a testament to his dedication, he has received his certification as a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute (PMI). He has received several awards, including being a multi-year winner of the Best of Business Award in Management Consulting in the District of Columbia from the Small Business Commerce Association. His past diversity in technology advocate responsibilities have included formerly serving as the Chief Operating Officer of Diversitech, a social enterprise created in response to a national outcry for greater depth of inclusion for those from underrepresented communities within the larger tech entrepreneurship community.
Anthony lives and works primarily in North Carolina and New York City and has two daughters – a rising senior at Lake Norman Charter High School and a rising sophomore at UNC – Chapel Hill. In his spare time he enjoys working on his startup (SocialGrade, Inc.), running, watching soccer and football, international travel, and above everything else spending time with his family. Anthony is also a dedicated member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
