Anne is an IBM Z Distinguished Engineer focused on Cryptographic Technology Development and has been a development leader for over 30+ years. She defines the key deployment strategy for cryptography for the IBM Z enterprise servers and incorporates advances in emerging technology. She leads the IBM Z effort to leverage quantum-safe cryptography including the introduction of the first quantum-safe system in industry that leverages the technology, the IBM Z16. She was a guest panelist at the 2023 RSA Conference Cryptographer’s Panel moderated by Dr. Whitfield Diffie and the 2022 International Crypto Module Conference Migration to Post Quantum Cryptography panel moderated by Dr. Michelle Mosca. She has also been a panelist or guest speaker at the Vanguard Conference, IBM WIT, Women Who Code and the National Cryptologic Foundation’s Convening to Act. Anne is a member of the INCITS/Inclusive Terminology TC, NIST National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) Migration to PQC Working Group and serves on the advisory board of HOPE Worldwide Charlotte. She received her  master’s degree in computer science from UNC Charlotte.    Anne enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, strength training, and long walks on the beach.
