Derek McCarthy

Derek came to NetRise from Blackberry Cylance where his most recent role was Technical Director of Worldwide Partner Operations, responsible for onboarding and training new and existing partners on Blackberry Cylance services and products, as well as co-delivering a variety of engagements to clients across the globe. Prior to this role, Derek worked as a Technical Director on the Incident Response team at Cylance, where he was responsible for the delivery and improvement of Cylance’s Incident Response services. While serving this role, Derek responded to hundreds of incidents, encompassing a wide variety of technologies and challenges, ranging from trivial ransomware infections to massive-scale Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) cases, some of which made national headlines.

In his role as Sr. Director of Field Engineering at NetRise, Derek’s responsibilities include product adoption and implementation, support, training, and overall customer success. Derek is committed to understanding customers’ needs and challenges, and helping them find the best ways to integrate NetRise’s products into their current security posture.
