Alysa Austin recently joined Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP as a litigation associate and a key member of the Privacy and Cybersecurity Team. She has authored several articles and spoken on cybersecurity, privacy, and IoT issues, and she serves as vice chair of the Homeland Security Committee for the ABA Science & Technology Law Section. Before joining Womble, Alysa earned an LL.M. in Cyber and National Security law from the Georgetown University Law Center. She also served as primary legal counsel to the Chief Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, where she was involved in high-profile privacy litigation related to law enforcement requests for social media evidence, and conducted judicial trainings on related privacy law.
