Ken Beer

Ken Beer is the General Manager of the AWS Key Management Service, a root of trust for all AWS customers to protect their most sensitive digital assets. Ken has worked in identity and access management, encryption, and key management for over 6 years at AWS. Before joining AWS, Ken was in charge of the network security business at Trend Micro where he managed appliance and software product lines to protect enterprise networks from external threats. Before Trend Micro, Ken was at Tumbleweed Communications where he built secure messaging solutions to help enterprises comply with privacy regulations. Ken has spoken on a variety of security topics at events such as the RSA Conference, the DoD PKI User’s Forum, and AWS re:Invent.
