Peter Makohon

Peter Makohon established and leads Wells Fargo’s Cyber Threat Management organization. Peter has global responsibility for monitoring the threat landscape, performing security assessments, and directing company-wide efforts to develop & continuously improve security capabilities that mitigate the organization’s exposure to cyber-attacks and exploits.

Peter has over 25 years of industry expertise in areas such as information security strategy, vulnerability management, penetration testing, merger migration planning and execution, data network engineering, application analysis, and business continuity planning. Peter has served on the United States banking industry’s Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council (FSSCC) and has also been an expert witness on legal cases involving cybercrime.

Peter also spent 4 years developing and leading Deloitte and Touche’s cyber security practice in the United States where he specialized in assessing and developing cyber programs for companies throughout the world.
