Biography

Richard Sheinis is a partner in the Charlotte office of Hall Booth Smith, P.C., a full service law firm. Mr. Sheinis is certified as a privacy professional (CIPP-US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). He works with companies to investigate and respond to HIPAA and other data breaches, advises on regulatory compliance including HIPAA, COPPA, PCI DSS, cross-border data transfer, the EU-US Privacy Shield, and other global privacy regulations. Mr. Sheinis is well-versed in technology matters, and regularly works on technology issues related to Software as a Service (Saas) Agreements, cloud computing, software licensing, and data analytics.
